The sad slow death of America’s passenger trains. No one takes the train anymore, so why pour more money into it, right? But perhaps no one takes the train because there are no trains to take. If rail travel was cheap, and convenient and fast, there is no telling what the market might be.
America NEEDS a National Rail System. AMTRAC is not able to become a National Rail Passanger System because of it’s lack of funding and hatred from congress. The American People need to demand it now in the light of heightened Petrol Prices and Emerging Ecological Situations. America Needs 48 State Passenger Rail - if it wants to cut emissions from Carbon Based Single User Vehicles.
